!!ALL-GIRL DOVE HUNT!!

Come and join us for an exciting weekend of dove hunting in Kingsville, Texas. Dove are plentiful around the sorghum and corn fields out at Cumberland Farms. This will be a fun-filled weekend with pier access to Baffin Bay as well! Our fabulous team of volunteers will keep the girls busy with skeet shooting, nature walks, pier fishing and beach-combing. Skeet shooting on Friday, dove hunting Saturday and Sunday.

Please bring a fishing rod or two and some tackle to try for some speckled trout, black drum and redfish.

Make sure to bring folding chairs or cushioned dove buckets, hunting apparel, hiking boots, mud boots, insect repellent, ice chest, gallon ziplock bags, sunblock, shotgun and a minimum of 6 boxes of shells.

Guardians will use their vehicles to travel from the camping site to the farm fields daily.

Also, keep in mind the weather that could turn in no time. Summer showers pop up off the bay often in this area, so bring the right gear. No guests allowed at this event; youth and 1 adult only.

South Texas meals will/could include Mexican food, pan de campo, tacos, and any/everything else in between! We will be grilling up some of the dove on site, so bring your best recipes. Water and tea will be provided. Bring any additional drinks/snacks for community or private use.

Be ready for a hands-on learning on how to clean, prepare and cook- evening of fun! Ice chests with some ice should be brought to keep your dive and possible fish catches in. Please bring a box of 1 gallon zip lock bags to store your game. This is an introduction to dove hunting for the young ladies. Age requirements of 12-17. Some shotgun experience is recommended.

Tent camping at Sea Wind RV Park in Loyola Beach. There is limited electricity available. Secured site with restrooms, heated showers, communal dining with AC and a full kitchen.
